Disappointed I threw my name into the hat for a late spot, not expecting fate to smile upon me.. but lo and behold.. this morning a spot opened for the Saturday conference.. so I am registered and will be there on Saturday.
Still hopeful that something will miraculously open for Friday.. but for now I'll take my Saturday spot and be happy!!
See all you other regular slobs on Saturday! Now, I'm off to do a truly awful rendition of a happy dance.
Grrrr... I wish I had signed up!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am going to the SCBWI conference in LA this year, so that's something to look forward to, but I'm seriously SO jealous I won't be going to Storymakers. I've heard it's a great conference!
Wow.. SCBWI is a biggee, much more intense than Storymakers. That one's only like a 5 mile drive for me. I'm really into those 'next door' type conferences. :)
DeleteCongrats on the spot. I'm hoping to attend my first ever writers conference in August (Nashville Mystery).
ReplyDeleteThey're fun.. long as you take them for what they are.. they're not the be-all, end-all.. but there is always good advice, and 1 or two things you can learn.. but what I think their best function is.. is the inspiration and motivation. I never leave a writing conference without feeling excited about writing. Great benefit in that regard.
Deletecongrats to you! I am still in the early dreaming about writing stage..love learning from others experiences...thanks!!!
