100 Followers Festival: Kevin's Giving Stuff Away

Let the festivities begin.. I've finally hit 100 followers!!  (After being stuck on 99 for 2 days.. it was like watching a pot of water, waiting for it to boil.. and then discovering you forgot to turn on the stupid burner; and then of course once I hit 100 I get to 101 like 5 minutes later. HA!)

So.. in the spirit of what I've no doubt will soon become a National Holiday.. You have my permission to take the rest of the day off as National Graphophibia Day!!
To get in on the festivities, and enter yourself for the fabulous prizes, just...

  1. Make sure you're a member of my blog
    and..
  2. Reply to this post with your book preference.
  3. 2 of you will get your book preference.. and one ultimate winner will get a fabulous cash prize.
That's all you have to do.. just do a quick reply to this post to throw your hat into the ring.  Once the winners are chosen I'll contact you to get contact/mailing info.

3 winners will be chosen at random to receive these fabulous gifts & prizes..
  • 1 $20 Gift Card from Amazon.com
  • 1 Paperback Copy of Septimus Heap: Magyk by Angie Sage
  • 1 Paperback Copy of NYTimes Best Seller Tunnels by Gordon & Williams.
(Both Paperbacks are unique in that they're both from English authors)

I'll leave this up for a few days, and then pick the winner on Monday the 5th.

Thanks everyone for reading my ramblings.. and for making this so much fun!!

  1. Congratulations, Kevin! I've been following your blog since I found it through Rachael Harrie's platform-building challenge. I'm interested in the book Tunnels.

  2. I hear you! I'm at 93 and the number refuses to go up.

    1. I'm one of your pre-existing 93.. or else I'd help. :)

      Book preference.. or either/or?

  3. Hi Kevin, presumably I'm not eligible as you don't say it's open for international followers and as one of the prizes is in dollars I presume it's only for people from the country using that currency. If by the very slim chance that I was drawn out of the metaphorical 'hat' then perhaps you would donate the prize to a charity dear to your heart. I look forward to reading more about you as this is my first journey in the blogging world after joining in Rach's campaign.

    1. Well.. the Amazon gift card is actually all done online.. and sent via email, so you *could* get it. Problem is, of course, spending $20.00. I have no idea about changing the currency.. totally clueless. Do they offer that? If they did, and you won that, I'd gladly put $20 equivalent in Euros.. although that's probably about enough to get a small drink at some fast-food place, the way the US economy is doing. I'm totally open and flexible, if it's a possibility. Honestly have no idea, have to admit that's something I didn't really consider. Sorry.

    1. Thanks Alex. I have to admit the blog hops and challenges, (like the Platform-building campaign), have been really, really fun. I had no idea there was anything out there like that before I started blogging, can't believe how much time I wasted. I've had a blast with the flash fiction writings I've done already. Really looking forward to the A-Z challenge.

  5. Casting my vote for Tunnels. Congrats breaking 100 - I'm still in the 20's (and two of those are me & DH). Definitely takes time to build that following.

    1. I understand your pain.. my wife put me at around 95. lol And I was just about ready to follow my own blog for that final 1 when I was at 99 for 2 days. Try doing some of the blog hops and Challenges like the A-Z March Challenge.. the more you participate, the more people congregate.

    2. I've been doing a couple of blog hops (even got a 2nd place in one), lots of flash fiction and now the A-Z Challenge. Hoping that helps...LOL! I should blog every day but my life isn't real conducive to that (full time RVer who rides a motorcycle). LOL!

      BTW, thanks for the follow!

  6. Congratulations, Kevin! I'd prefer Tunnels if I win. Good luck on further building your following!

  7. Woohoo! I'd also prefer Tunnels, but would be stoked of course for Magyk! What a fun give-a-way! *crosses fingers* ;)

  8. Congrats on hitting the 100 milestone. I'm still under the magical three digit number.

I’ve been slow in making my rounds, but I’m saying howdy from the YA campaign group.

And if I were lucky enough to win one of the books, my preference would be Tunnels.

  10. Hi, I'm a new reader, follower #105.
Congrats and I hope you'll continue to gain more readers to your blog. I would like to read Magyk but I'm an international follower so probably the gift card would be good. Thank you.

  11. Congrats Kevin! Joined your site through the Platform Building Campaign - also gave you the thumbs up for your first challenge!
I would be interested in Tunnels!

  12. Congrats. That is funny we both are having a contest to celebrate gaining 100 followers at the same time. It would be even funnier if we both won each other's contests! I'd be happy with either book.

  13. Congrats! Woot! Root-a-toot-toot! I remember exactly how great it felt when I finally broke 100--only to discover one of those followers was me. So I had to wait until 101 with red spots on my cheeks. It felt like weeks.

I would take Tunnels because I have Magyck, and if I won the gift card I'd take a series where I'm missing a book.

BTW, Rafflecopter is free, and they use random.org, which you can't use free unless you do it with Rafflecopter. Even if you create a form after the fact, you can manually enter each commenter (so what if that's not a word) on a line of the spreadsheet it creates, then hit the choose a winner button and voila, no cutting up tiny pieces of paper and picking from a cup which you end up spilling because you're trying not to look, LOL.
