Stuff About Me

Husband, father, attorney, aspiring writer, manic college sports fan, insomniac, recovering Diet Pepsi addict...

I'm a licensed attorney who is currently taking a sabbatical from my law practice while my wife works on completing her PhD in Communication Sciences and Disorders from James Madison University in Virginia.

We are hopeful that she can be done in the Summer of 2015.. but it is possible that we may be here until December 2015. Our goal, however, is to be back in the Western U.S. by summer 2016 at the very latest.

I am a writer, generally fantasy, science fiction, horror type stories. I've written a number of short stories, (15-25k words) starting all the way back in 1993 I was urged by my English Professor to submit some of my assignments for publication at the local arts/community Newspaper, (Boise Weekly).. but I never really considered writing to be a viable profession. So I studied Political Science and Spanish. After receiving dual bachelor's degrees, I was off to 4 years of law school (1 extra year because I withdrew from my 2nd year to be with my daughter as she faced some health crisis, detailed below).

While an undergrad at Boise State, I was nominated by my Professors to be a writing tutor at the Boise State writing center, at the time I was the only non-English major tutor at the University. I did that for my final 2 years at Boise State.

Besides writing, I've taught Business Law online through the University of Phoenix for the past 7 years, I teach an LSAT prep course through Educational Testing Consultants, and I own/run the most popular/active website for Boise State Athletics fans at
